How Are Winners Decided?

 

Here at The Best of Welsh we have created the FAIREST award around.

 

When voting opens your clients and customers are free to start voting.

 

Your first vote gets you a nomination. Your nomination is then posted on our Facebook page where your clients are then able to boost your votes by continuing to vote. You are free to advertise for votes as you see fit.

 

When voting closes, the votes are printed, counted and verified. Duplicate votes from the same voters will be removed and persistent rule breaks could end up in your business being disqualified. Verification of votes involves us reaching out to voters using their information submitted. If emails bounce back or the phone number is invalid, the vote will be rejected. Voters information will not be shared and are protected. 

 

The Shortlists are made up of businesses who received the necessary amount of votes in their category, and are then invited to the event to celebrate their hard work and achievements.  

 

Awards are given to both First Place and runner ups. If winners are not in attendance they will be notified via email and given instructions on how to collect their awards. If there is a tie for first and second place, there will be a joint title with all being awarded.

 

To be clear, the awards are based on votes.   No judging panel.  The winners and runners up are  based on number of votes and statements from voters for the special categories. Votes will be checked to ensure that every vote is legitimate. Nice, simple and above all, fair.

 

To be nominated is a great achievement as it means you have made a difference to the local community so if you have not made the shortlist this year, please don't be disheartened.

To keep ticket costs down, trophies are not produced for winners who are unable to attend. Previously we have always provided trophies for each winner regardless of attendance, however the rising cost of living, the decision was made to keep costs down for ticket holders by only having attendees’ trophies produced.

First Place - £60
Second Place - £50
Third Place - £40
